About
Hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Samantha Isbell started her hockey career at Mercyhurst University.
From 2016 to 2020, Isbell played 141 games and recorded 82 points. She helped the Lakers win CHA titles in 2018 and 2020. In her senior season (2019/20), she earned 31 points in 35 games including leading the team with 25 assists and six goals. She also had nine multi-point games and a six-game point streak with seven assists. These results earned Isbell a spot on the All-Conference Second Team and her 25-assist score is the second most of all time in a single CHA season for a defender.
She spent two seasons with the PWHPA and played for the PHF’s Montréal Force in the inaugural season throughout 2022 and 2023.
Her unique journey through hockey and willingness to pull back the curtain on being a professional athlete has made Isbell an influential voice in hockey.
