Susanna Tapani is an internationally recognized star in both professional hockey and ringette. A two-sport athlete, the Finnish phenom is a five-time World Championship gold medalist in ringette and has appeared in eight IIHF Women’s World Championships, earning four bronze medals and one silver (2019). Known around the rink as “Taps,” the dynamic forward has represented Finland at three Olympic Games, winning bronze medals in PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022.
Drafted 25th overall in the inaugural PWHL Draft, Tapani joined Boston through a midseason trade in 2023 and has since become a fixture among the Fleet’s forward group. She combines elite hockey sense with quick skating to find open ice and capitalize on scoring chances, finishing second on the team in goals during the 2024–25 season.
