Nicole Hensley is the pride and joy of Colorado hockey and was the first goaltender selected in the PWHL Draft, going in the second round, 12th overall by Minnesota.
The Lindenwood University alumna has represented the U.S. in two Olympic Winter Games (gold-2018, silver-2022) and is a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team. She has earned a spot on five IIHF Women’s World Championship teams (gold- 2016, 2017, 2023; silver- 2021, 2022) earning the title of Best Goaltender at the 2022 tournament, as well as two 4 Nations Cups (1st-2016, 2017).
During her collegiate career, the netminder earned the Presidential NCAA Award (maintained one of the highest GPAs among NCAA athletes nominated by head coach) and spent one season playing in the NWHL with the Buffalo Beauts in 2018-2019, posting a league best save percentage of .935.
