About

Jill Saulnier is the heart and soul of maritime hockey. The Halifax native was drafted 40th overall by New York in the inaugural PWHL Draft.

An alumna of Cornell University, Saulnier made her mark in NCAA hockey with some early on outstanding performances that included registering 10 points (seven goals, three assists), in her first three games and a four-goal night in her debut against Colgate University. Most notably, the Bluenoser has been a steadfast presence among Hockey Canada, as she was a member of Canada's National Women's U18 Team that took home a silver medal at the 2009 IIHF World Championships and gold in 2010. At the 2022 Olympics, Saulnier captured a gold medal alongside a legendary Canadian roster that took down their rival US counterparts in a nail-biting match.

A beloved leader among her peers and anti-bullying advocate, Saulnier uses her platform as a pro athlete for philanthropic ventures that champion the Maritime community, including the organization and production of her infamous “Hearts of Gold” golf tournament.
