About

A St. John’s, Newfoundland native, Abby Newhook was born into a family with hockey in their DNA. Her older brother, Alex Newhook, is a Stanley Cup champion and a forward with the Montreal Canadiens. Drawing on her Atlantic roots and East Coast work ethic, Abby carved her own path to New England hockey.

The shifty forward recently completed a four-year collegiate career with the Boston College Eagles. Serving as captain in her senior season, Newhook recorded 55 goals and 58 assists in 142 games—ranking among the top 15 in program history for goals scored.

Most recently, the youngest Newhook was selected by the Boston Fleet in the 2025 PWHL Priority Selection and is poised to make an immediate impact on both her team and the league.
